1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember something about your visit. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits. In this policy "cookies" means all of them.
2. The short version
Only the cookies needed to run this site are set automatically. Everything else waits until you say yes. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer, and the site works whichever way you choose.
3. The categories we use
Necessary — always on
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off:
- a cookie remembering your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page;
- a security token that protects the contact form against forged submissions;
- your accessibility widget settings, stored in your own browser.
Functional — off until you allow them
- Google Maps. The map on our Visit and Contact pages does not load until you click the button. When you do, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies.
- Google reCAPTCHA. Used to keep spam off the contact form. It loads only when functional cookies are allowed.
Analytics — off until you allow them
- Google Analytics 4. Counts visits and shows which pages are used, so we can improve the site. We do not enable Google's advertising features or ad personalisation.
Marketing
We do not run advertising or marketing cookies on this site. If that ever changes, the banner will appear again and ask you first.
4. Third parties
When you allow the categories above, Google may set cookies through Analytics, Maps and reCAPTCHA. Google has its own privacy policy and we encourage you to read it. Our own fonts and scripts are served from this website, so no font or styling company receives your IP address.
5. Changing your choice
- Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we honor it automatically: analytics and marketing stay off and no banner is shown.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Help for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge is available in each browser's own support pages. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
6. How long choices are kept
Your cookie choice is remembered for 180 days, after which we ask again. We keep a record of consents given for 24 months so we can show the choice was honored.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add a cookie or a new third party we will update this page and show the banner again.
